Lukas, MD, a member of Lurie Cancer Center and associate professor of Neurology in the Division of Neuro-oncology at Northwestern Medicine, joins the latest episode of the Better Edge podcast to discuss some of those options for patients with rare central nervous system (CNS) tumors. He talks about exciting research on the potential benefits of immunotherapy and the use of leading-edge technologies, including DNA methylation profiling, for diagnosis. Dr. Lukas also discusses some of the CNS specialized programs offered at Northwestern Medicine, such as the low-grade glioma program, Von Hippel-Lindau disease program and chordoma program.
